Due to the budget cuts to schools across the board. My watch partners with Alta mesa to build a parent club with a purpose. The cuts have crept into many of the traditions of the school. The yearly father daughter dance and mother and son were put off for a year. The yearly carnival for the school as a fundraising was also postponed to school year 2012. 20/30 once again giving back
1000 Easter eggs carefully scattered across Ceasar Chavez park, as adult and children alike awaited the hunt. Holding them back as pictures were taken and the rules of engagement where displayed. They were given the words every little kid was waiting for GO!! Off they went, many kids where pleased with the amount of eggs that they recieved. I heard of a story where a young kid was having a problem finding eggs with his father, so some of the young boys gave them eggs out of their own…
